Cast iron banks, building banks, advertising
banks, pottery banks, glass banks, pocket banks, registering banks, do you
collect or have an interest in
any of these or other bank varieties? If so please read on. The
SBCCA, a non-profit organization, was
founded in 1966. Our membership of over 500 includes collectors from the United
States, Canada, West Germany, Sweden, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Australia and
England. This active organization of members works together
constantly expanding the availability and knowledge of still banks.
The objectives of the organization are to stimulate the
knowledge of, interest in and the collection of antique and contemporary still
banks, and to assist members in adding to and enhancing the value of their
collections of banks. This site is unable to respond
directly to
individual requests for valuations, general information or research. The
SBCCA offers these resources freely to
members via the online members web and a quarterly magazine. In
addition, a yearly convention provides lectures from expert collectors, home
visits, buy & sell and a variety of other activities designed to promote the
hobby of bank collecting.
