The annual convention is held in various parts of the country in June each year. Conventions feature a new member orientation, guest speakers, informative seminars and visits to prominent collections of local members. The convention features an auction of quality still banks.

The members web hosts a wealth of bank collecting related resources. Information includes old advertisements, patent papers, slide shows, videos, new finds, articles and thousands of bank images. The Members Web also contains over 20 years of The Penny Bank Post and several years of convention photos. The content is frequently updated.

Published three times per year, The Penny Bank Post is the club's magazine. Issues include informative articles written by members with many years of collecting expertise on all aspects of still banks and related areas of interest. This publication also provides information about our annual convention, as well as special projects. It is published in color and with over 30 pages, this 8 by 11.5 magazine contains many pictures of banks of all types.

The SBCCA has produced a number of publications covering a wide variety of topics relating to collecting still banks. These books are not available commercially and new projects are periodically undertaken by the membership. Publications include: the Pocket Bank Book, Cast Iron Building Banks, Painted German Spelter Banks, Political Banks, and Safe Bank Book.
